Alicia is the Food Scientist of Alchemy Foodtech, a Singapore-based food technology startup focusing on helping the world fight diabetes through food innovation. She is responsible for the application R&D and transformation of carbohydrate staples such as rice, bread, noodles into healthier options via the incorporation of the company’s patent-pending glycemic lowering food ingredient. In line with Alchemy Foodtech, she aims to use food science and technology to create functional foods that fight health diseases.
Besides graduating with a Degree in Food Technology at Massey University, she is also pursuing her Master programme in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology at National University of Singapore (NUS). She aspires to reinvent functional food as an alternative to medicinal drugs conferring to better patient compliance, enhancing the health of individuals.
